Questions about copart vs manheim

Is Manheim cheaper than Copart?

Not like for like. Manheim cars are clean-title and priced at wholesale; Copart cars are mostly damaged and priced accordingly. Compare the total cost of a car in the condition you actually want.

Can the public buy from Manheim?

No. Manheim registers licensed dealers only. A private buyer gets access through a dealer, which is what BasicMobile provides.

Why is the Manheim deposit higher?

Because the dealer account is responsible for every clean-title purchase at wholesale prices, we require 50% of the bid limit on file for Manheim versus 10% for Copart and IAAI.
