IAAI fees: what you pay on top of the winning bid

IAA publishes separate fee schedules for licensed and non-licensed buyers. These are the non-licensed buyer fees as listed on iaai.com, plus the fixed charges every buyer pays.

Direct access to Copart, IAAI and Manheim for $100. Not a broker bidding for you: your own login on the three official auction sites, under our Florida dealer license. You see every lot, you place every bid, you keep full control. No dealer license needed, no membership. The $100 is one-time and is credited toward your deposit and your car.

Fixed fees on every purchase

  • Service fee: $105 per unit for handling, imaging, pull-out and loading (effective October 1, 2026).
  • Title-handling fee: $20 on all purchases.
  • EH&S and fuel surcharge: a variable surcharge, not a government fee.
  • Premium imagery set: $10 on eligible vehicles.
  • Storage: per-day rate set by the branch, starting after the payment deadline (2 business days for US buyers, 4 for non-US).

Worked example: a $5,000 car on IAAI

$5,000 bid + $775 buyer fee + $125 live bid fee + $105 service fee + $20 title fee = $6,025 to IAA, before any surcharge, storage or transport.
Through BasicMobile add our $200 service fee (price up to $5,000). Deposit on file to bid up to $5,000: $600, including your first $100.

Compare with the Copart fee schedule; the two are close, and the hammer price usually decides which auction is cheaper for a given car.

Questions about iaai fees

How much are IAAI fees on a $3,000 car?

For a non-licensed buyer: $655 buyer fee, a $100–$110 live bid fee, $105 service fee and $20 title fee, about $880–$890 on top of the bid.

Are IAAI fees lower with a business license?

Yes, IAA publishes a separate licensed-buyer schedule and a high-volume schedule. Through a dealer-license account you also avoid the public-buyer inventory limits.

When do I have to pay IAAI?

Within two business days of the award for US buyers and four for non-US buyers, by 5 p.m. branch time; storage is charged daily after that.
